The internet is a big ol' mess - some of it beautiful, some of it less so. When looking for information and guidance on matters of faith, it is best to start with the people at church, particularly your elders and the Pastor.  Then, it's best to look for reliable websites, particularly those that are produced by and/or share convictions with the Lutheran Church (the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is our national denomination).

Daily Bible Readings: The Daily Lectionary gives you three daily readings - usually a Psalm, an Old Testament, and a New Testament text - that correspond to the readings we use on Sundays.

Daily Bible readings are available on Bible Gateway and on DailyLectio. (Bible Gateway has lots of advertisements, which can slow the page; however, it has readings available in hundreds of translations and multiple languages.)

  • Bible Odyssey - a reliable source for short explainers of various Biblical figures, events, books, and more. From the Society of Biblical Literature.

  • The Bible Project - wonderful videos explaining Bible stories in thoughtful ways.

  • Dwell Bible App - an audio Bible that has a narrator who sounds strikingly like Obi Wan Kenobi

  • The Chosen - an exceptional streaming television show offering a faithful and engaging portrayal of Jesus and his disciples.
